Product Owner - Customer & Partner Service Portal - Group Organization & Change - Commercial

Allianz Trade, market leader in Trade Credit Insurance with a global presence in more than 50 countries, is looking for a Product Owner who will work on Commercial and Customer Service related projects and IT products.

 

 

Role:

 

The Product Owner will be part of the Group Organization & Change team, which is the Allianz Trade Business Architecture & Change Execution team and is part of the Global Operations & IT Function. As Organization & Change, we translate the company’ strategy into operational solutions, assets or processes. We drive their implementation. We maintain them through continuous improvements. Our mission is to enable strategy execution through business change design and implementation, drive operational efficiency via continuous improvement of existing assets & processes, maintain the knowledge of our  value chain, operational processes and systems. The team is therefore at the heart of the execution of the Ops & IT and Digital Transformation of Allianz Trade. The team works closely with all Group and Regional Functions. 

 

 

Main tasks:

 

Depending on the Group Organization & Change Commercial project portfolio and priorities, you can be asked to perform 2 types of tasks: 

 

1. Delivery of a new Commercial IT Product or new Commercial IT Product module or Commercial Project
- Take full responsibility over a new Commercial IT Product/Module/Project, working closely with the Product Manager and all stakeholders (Backend teams, API teams, Group Functions, Regions & Country contacts)
- Key responsibilities include: for new or ongoing projects/workstreams/products/large features, own & deliver the scoping in alignment with the Business Owners, define the business case with the Business Owners, design & drive roadmap and implementation plan in alignment with the Business Owners, ensure business requirement prioritization and backlog management in alignment with the Business Owners, perform business requirement and feature analysis, perform user journey design (incl. work with UX designer where needed) and solution design, ensure alignment of solution design with IT and  IT architecture, ensure clear user stories & documentation writing, drive the timely delivery with the IT dev squad, ensure delivery quality, ensure strong testing with the users, onboard and manage stakeholders globally, ensure progress update and strong communication to all stakeholders, manage go/no-go process and go-live, enable adoption by users, ensure post go-live follow-up, manage production incidents with IT teams, communicate on unavailability and releases, monitor and manage budget, support steering committee preparation, foster excellence and drive by example with the other Product Owners in the execution of good product/project/agile practices

 

2.  Maintenance (incl. demand management) of an existing Commercial IT Product
Similar responsibilities as 1. with a more specific focus on:
- Ensuring a smooth day-to-day run of the application and securing quick resolution of any defects in production
- Ensuring identification, collection, and strict prioritization of any evolution requests with the Business Owners, defining the solutions, delivering them in production after testing, communicating on changes to users

 

First assignment: be a Product Owner for our Digital Customer Portal.

 

 

Complexity Requires / Future Challenges:

 

- Ability to structure a high set of different information and conflicting requests, to prioritize, to synthetize, to structure, to document, to convince, and to make decisions in fast pace environment
- Ability to challenge what exists today, and to drive change for enhanced operational efficiency and customer/partner satisfaction
- Ability to build realistic planning/roadmap (incl. ability to say no when a feature delivery cannot fit into the capacity) and to commit to it
- Ability to focus on the value delivered to the market, capacity to build consistent Minimum Viable Products/Features
- Ability to federate different profiles from a large variety of backgrounds and roles (business, IT, support, executives, C-Levels)

 

 

Knowledge / Experiences / Competencies required:

 

- Experience in Project Management (at least 8 y) of which specific experience as a Product Owner in a fast running Agile & International environment

- Experience in Trace Credit Insurance and/or Surety is preferable 

 

Preference for:
- Appetite for and proven ability to manage global projects with business change management and IT implementation, including experience in agile projects and JIRA/Confluence tools
- Experience with globally rolling-out new processes and IT tools and driving the change and the adoption
- Experience with collecting requirements, designing processes and solutions, documenting, prioritising, writing user stories, backlog management, testing, and APIs
- Structured, rigourous, organized, analytical, pragmatic, good communicator (verbal, written) and with a delivery-oriented mindset
- Capacity to take ownership and drive topics 
- Team player
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
