ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking to hire a Product Owner who will lead a team to configure, operationalize, and evangelize our cloud based data catalog and data collaboration platform, data.world. This includes onboarding data assets and teams from across the company including their business glossaries, data dictionaries, business cases and other assets to support leveraging these assets more effectively to drive business value. The program includes developing an in depth understanding of the data.world platform and effectively leveraging its capabilities to meet the unique structure and needs of the Berkley organization. This effort includes design and delivery of associated governance, compliance, and change management processes.
Develop, maintain, and evangelize with our business partners, the roadmap for our online data catalog and data collaboration platform, data.world, to meet business needs and the teams strategic objectives.Define strategic bodies of work, Epics, to onboard additional teams and assets to the platform as well as configure and enable additional platform features to meet evolving needs.Define small units of desired functionality or deliverables, Stories, for delivery by the Agile product team.Prioritize the delivery of Epics and Stories in order to meet the evolving needs of the business and the strategic goals of the Data and Analytics team.Review and accept the delivery of features and data asset on boards with a high level of quality and attention to detail. Develop deep subject matter expertise in the data catalog and collaboration platform in order to lead or conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for perspective or onboarded teams.Define patterns of usage and configuration within the constraints of the data catalog and collaboration platform to effectively publish and leverage data assets with unique requirements.Drive platform adoption through evangelism and proactive monitoring of platform utilization.Partner with data asset owners to develop and publish custom content to the platform that can drive additional usage and business value of their asset such as successful business cases, sample analysis, and asset usage instructions. Partner with data asset owners to understand and configure data hierarchies within the platform to make discovery and exploration of their data assets easier for other consumers. Hold data asset owners accountable for keeping published assets up to date and ensure the team provides them with effective self-service capabilities to do so.Collaborate with technical staff and program managers to facilitate project delivery.Serve as liaison to software vendors, consulting partners, and internal team members to facilitate problem resolution. Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or Data Analyst leveraging data assets such as Data Warehouses, Data Marts, Data Lakes, and 3rd Party Data Assets to support decision making or automated processing.3+ years of hands on development of requirements for or publishing operational and analytical reporting using an enterprise Business Intelligence platform such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.3+ years of experience working with SQL or developing ETL processes.3+ years of experience as a Product Owner for an Agile delivery team supporting and configuring a technical product.Experience configuring a SaaS platform.
