ResponsibilitiesThe Business Side Product Owner – Data Strategy will serve as a liaison between the IT department and the business. This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities, defining data requirements, overseeing refinement and maintenance effort to ensure the effective delivery of technology solutions to meet business objectives and strategy.
Act as the main point of contact between business stakeholders and IT teams to gather, analyze, and prioritize data requirements.Define and develop detailed data roadmaps in alignment with the overall business strategy for commercial insurance products which include General Liability, Excess, Professional Lines and Garage.Collaborate with IT professionals to design technology solutions that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and reporting.Coordinate with other departments to ensure that technology initiatives are in line with compliance, risk management, and other corporate policies.Translate business needs into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria for agile development teams.Monitor data product KPIs and work closely with data analysts to measure and report on product performance.Validate that data technology deliverables meet defined requirements and business objectives.Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and oversee the product release process in collaboration with QA and IT teams. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field.5+ years of experience in product management or similar roles, preferably within the commercial insurance industry.Strong understanding of data management, analytics, and data science techniques.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with all levels of an organization.Self-motivated, analytical, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Experience with data visualization tools and data processing frameworks.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA & Azure Dev Ops is a plus.
