Position Description:

We are a team of highly motivated people who bring proficiency in AWS Data Services, Data Warehousing, Tableau, and Analytics. We aim to build the solutions that enable us to have unparalleled features and a seamless, modern experience for our business users to achieve their targets. In terms of the best-in-class AWS Data services, deep dive data analytics and visualisation on healthcare assets not limited to payer, demand, group practitioners, supply chain etc. What remains constant in the BU-IDS team is our dedication to the values on which Lilly was built: Integrity, Excellence, and Respect for People. The role of a IT Product Owner is to define and manage the product backlog, thus speeding the Agile adoption initiative in this space and more importantly transform into a product mindset.

The IT Product owner will help in maximizing product value that includes both technical and non-technical aspects. Working closely with the different stakeholders, the IT Product Owner will scope and create roadmaps and collaborate with the tech lead and the architect to deliver on-time high quality solutions to meet the business goals. A strong background and breadth of IT experience across the lifecycle of product and/or project development is needed to execute the responsibilities of this role.

Role Description for Product Owner:

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

Define and communicate the vision and strategy for the application, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Oversee end-to-end Product Backlog management, ensuring comprehensive coverage.Collaborate and plan with the team to actualize Backlog, emphasizing maximum business value.Finalize product increments and organize effective product releases.Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders to shape the product vision and roadmap.Take accountability for formulating the product's strategy in collaboration with IT stakeholders.Inspect and evaluate product progress through each iteration, ensuring alignment with the roadmap.Technical Insight: Understanding of digital product development, including UX/UI principles, to effectively collaborate with the development team.

Key Requirements:

• Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in product planning and support for large, highly complex projects.

• Demonstrate proven leadership in Agile transformation from a traditional delivery setup.

• Exhibit previous experience in product delivery, from ideation to implementation.

• Ability to concurrently manage multiple workstreams involving complex designs to meet business requirements.

• Strong business and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficient in using tools like JIRA, Confluence, ALM, etc.

Additional Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with system development life cycle methodologies (such as waterfall, agile software development, rapid prototyping, and DevOps).

• Excellent analytical, planning, organizational, and technical skills, coupled with strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Ability to work effectively with technical team members in both in-house and outsourced environments.

• Skillful in influencing, guiding, and facilitating stakeholders and peers in decision-making.

• Proficiency in articulating new ideas and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Capability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.

• Strong teamwork, self-management, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
