The Role
Our Banking Financial Services Consulting group is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our journey.
We’re looking for Senior Consultants who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Senior Consultant (which is a Manager level position) this means partnering with clients and project stakeholders, colleagues. Responsibilities
• Manage product life cycle (PLC) from ideation to post-launch and develop product strategy to deliver customer value within timeline and budget.
• Act as the liaison with engineers, Scrum Masters, architects, QA, UX/UI and sales to prioritize the product roadmap to achieve Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).
• Create User Stories and Business Requirement document (BRD) by translating requirements for business and technical team.
• Conduct user interviews, gathered functional, technical and non-functional requirements (NFR) to create workflows, business rules and system integration diagrams.
• Schedule meetings with internal and external stakeholders to reach agreements, craft product vision, discuss portfolio priorities and resolve gaps with cross-divisional product team.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Systems Architects to define new and enhanced product features.
• Provide updates to leadership on epics and feature delivery schedules, track progress using velocity and burndown charts.
• Evaluate current (As-Is) and future state (To-Be) of business processes and features to perform gap analysis, design prototypes, document pain points and identify potential areas for process improvement.
• Contribute to the creation of user documentation, best practices and training materials.
• Validate use cases of features for each release and publish release notes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience 8-10 years of experience in banking or financial industry 5- 6 years of forward mortgage industry experience in Business Analyst and/or Product Owner roles Experience working in an Agile environment and lean methodology Experience in data mapping and vendor integrations is preferred Strong technical background and the ability to dive into the technical details Demonstrated experience problem solving and developing products from scratch Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model Ability to handle ambiguity and white space.
