At Sandvik Machining Solutions, we’re now looking for a Product Owner for our Master Data Management (MDM) to lead our efforts in ensuring that our master data is well-organized, keeping high quality and is strategically used to support our business objectives.
About your jobYou lead the creation of the MDM team for delivering robust master data management capabilities and platforms. Your primary focus is ensuring the accuracy, consistency and integrity of master data across our organization. You develop and implement strategies and policies and oversee the integration with other systems and platforms. To define and prioritize requirements, you collaborate closely with our business and IT teams and take responsibility for creating and maintaining a strategic roadmap – ensuring that our solutions align with the strategic goals of our organization.
Acting as the primary point of contact for MDM initiatives, you drive the adoption of best practices in MDM and governance. Your role involves monitoring and reporting on master data quality metrics and improvement initiatives, and ensuring that our technology platforms support growth, business flexibility and digitalization at scale.
The location for this position is either Stockholm or Sandviken, and travel to the other site once a week is required. We apply a hybrid work setup, allowing you to combine working from the office with working remotely.
Your profileWe’re looking for a strategic thinker with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field. You have proven experience in master data management, data governance and data quality roles, preferably within larger global organizations. A strong record of product management skills, such as stakeholder management, prioritization, agile way of working and roadmap creation, with the ability to cater to operational needs while driving the direction towards a future proofed MDM capability is important. You also have a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes and a strong understanding of master data management principles, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices. Working in a global setting, you’re a skilled communicator in English. Knowledge of Swedish is a plus.
