Job Overview

The Product Pricing Analyst applies deep knowledge of a specific discipline and broad knowledge of Pricing Analysis to resolve significant, unique, and/or complex issues, through an evaluation of a variety of factors. They provide measurable input to the objectives and goals of the department in support of functional and business unit strategies. Develops, evaluates, and implements pricing strategies and models based on cost overhead, current business and  market dynamics. Projects impact of pricing changes, promotions, and rebate programs on revenue.

 

This position will sit on-site at their El Cajon facility.

 

The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment – a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and harsh environments. Job Responsibilities Assess quote requests to find if requested product can meet the requirements of the application based on product specifications. Assess quote request to find if requested components can meet the form, fit, and function of a requested end assembly / application Assess requested product to find if similar products exist, and creates bills of materials and manufacturing routers based on similar parts to generate costing and subsequently create MOQ, Price and Lead Times Works with engineering to find new PN requested when similar-too parts do not exist so BOM, Router can be used to find future cost Assists with any technical requests from TE Customer service and external customers Assists with  project management and engineering to find  pricing for project quotes including product / application feasibility, NRE determination, costing and long-term pricing considering market and competition pricing trends where applicable  Continuous review of standard costs and work with plant finance and engineering to correct any inaccuracies Work cross functionally with engineering, planning, purchasing and finance on any products that have not been requested recently to find producibility by reviewing tooling, drawings, lead times, supply base etc. Work with product management to review potential no-bid parts as they receive them Drive results primarily through influencing and collaborating with colleagues and peers Provides training and mentorship to other employees, providing subject matter expertise
  What your background should look like: Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts degree preferred 3+ years of pricing, product management or technical pricing management experience. Experience operating and influencing at a planned level and collaborating with internal and external key stakeholders (engineering, product management, finance, operations, customer service and direct customers) Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S. or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee


Essential Knowledge and Skills 

 

Strong working knowledge of bills of materials and manufacturing routings Understanding how purchasing costs influence standard costs in an engineer to order environment Excellent time management and organization skills Able to extract and uncover insights from complex multi-dimensional data and identify relevant patterns using basic analytical Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines Commercially and financially astute

 

Desirable Knowledge and Skills

Experience working with Defense customers / products Technical knowledge and background preferred with the pricing business acumen Ability to mentor, train and provide Pricing subject matter expertise to team members

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $$69,200 – 103,800(subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
