About the Role: We are looking for a Product Quality Specialist to join our Fabrics Quality Team. In this role, you will be providing critical day-to-day quality support, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive end to end Quality for a product line.
This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs.
Responsibilities:
Ensure product is released on time and assist with assessing/resolving failures detected in the laboratory and manufacturing Assist in resolving internal and supplier non-conformances Partner with Complaint Coordinator to resolve or provide insight to complaints Partner with manufacturing to improve the product yield and support to resolve problems in production Engage with Supplier Quality to ensure all raw material specifications are completed Engage with Admin to ensure all lab information management system product setup is completed prior to approving product launch Engage in new product stage gate review Partner with the business to obsolete products in the ERP System Partner with Supplier Quality to obsolete raw material specifications when a product is obsoleted Drive internal improvement projects (kaizen events, process mapping) and product performance reviewsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 years Quality Assurance experience Knowledge of Quality roles, responsibilities, and terminology (non-conformance, corrective and preventive action, MOC) Effective written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal and influencing skills, and conflict resolution skills Ability to investigate non-conforming product Ability to evaluate data statistically using current industry tools Ability to navigate a cross functional team environment independently Ability to conduct and participate in internal audits Ability to travel 10%
Desired Qualifications:
Certified Quality Professional or Quality Auditor Green belt or black belt in continuous improvement
