Product Quality Tech (PQT) - Seneca Battery - 2nd Shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm)
Tests and inspects products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products by performing the following duties.

Standard Duties:

Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures, such as gage R&R’s and capability studies.Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.Recommends modifications of existing quality standards and work instructions to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics.Prepares graphs or charts of data or enters data into computer for analysis.Overtime may be required.

Safety/Physical Requirements:

All employees are responsible for knowing, understanding and complying with the safety policies and procedures.  Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand up lifts.Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs repetitively.Ability to work in a fast paced environment.Wear all PPE (including electrical PPE) as required.Support 5S/Housekeeping activities as required.

Education & Experience


Education:   High School diploma or GED required or skills assessment

Experience: 

•           1 year experience in automotive manufacturing/battery automotive quality role preferred

•           6 months of experience in SAP/ERP systems preferred.

•           Familiarity with key performance indicators of a quality department

•           Proven track record of excellent verbal and written communication.

•           Strong customer service skills.

•           Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

•           Flexible work schedule/ability to work overtime as needed.

Computer Skills:  To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Inventory software; Excel Spreadsheet software, Word Processing software, PowerPoint Presentations and Word.
