**Product Quality Technician / Repair Technician** Salary - $20-22/hour- Day 1 with the company Direct Hire This position will be onsite at the Kentucky Truck Plant on the East end of Louisville Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm They will be responsible for A Crew (Mon-Thurs) onsite support of vehicle wiring harness systems and connectors. + The person will be on the plant flow in the final assembly areas for support of wiring harness products during the assembly process. + This person will track and monitor the areas for basic quality, testing fitment, functionality and troubleshooting harness installation issues or diagnosing issues with the vehicles various wiring harnesses as they come up. + They will be watching for connector issues, harness functionality failures to make repairs and document ongoing or one-off issues. + They will be updating daily shift reports for data collection and anything that goes wrong will be share with the onsite Sumitomo Quality Engineer. + What happened, why did the harness not work? (cut too short, bad connector, wrong connector, missing component, etc..) + This individual will be the assembly line representative of the Sumitomo wiring harness products during their shifts if any issues arise and will be responsible for repairing onsite (if possible) flagging any unresolved issues with the harness for the QE and sending to re-work area before the vehicle can be shipped to the dealership(s). + May participate in quality containment campaigns, rework projects, material certification and could be involved in quality issue reporting and quality root cause investigations. **Work Environment** **:** + This person will be on the manufacturing plant floor working at an assigned area/station(s) on the assembly line. + Need someone who understands the automotive world, can work with union employees, contractors and Quality Engineers or Vehicle Program Managers from a distance. **Qualifications** **:** The ideal candidate would be an Maintenance Technician, Field Service Technician or even an Engineering Technician with a great personality. **The person should have:** + _Familiarity with working around with electrical or electronic systems._ + _Set-up, testing, diagnosing and debugging of connected electrical systems._ + _Manufacturing plant environment experience a bonus_ + _Experience in any sort of testing product functionality or testing processes_ + _Familiar with Excel and have the ability to round up data from various sources. They may need to track a harness part number and tie that the a specific VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) so the quality team can track down the vehicle at the end of the line and make repairs or replace the harness product._ + _The ability to communicate, educate and train union production personnel in troubleshooting and basic functionality testing of harnesses._ **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
