As a Product Regulatory Analyst , you’ll integrate product legal and regulatory compliance processes across the MillerKnoll collective and identify risks. You will update and/or draft product compliance policies/procedures to ensure a robust compliance program. You’ll also develop and/or update processes to support the identification, analysis, and dissemination of new and emerging product compliance laws, regulations and governance matters. The Product Regulatory Analyst function sits within the Sustainability & Stewardship organization, and works closely with related product compliance functions including Product Performance, Trade Compliance, Sustainability, Quality and Packaging, as well as with Product Development and Management to ensure a compliant product and to advance sustainable and innovative outcomes. We also work across the collective with various functions including Operations, Sales/Marketing, Supply Chain, and Legal.

Inside the Job
Your day-to-day work will involve:
Product Stewardship AssessmentCompleting initial, periodic, and ad hoc reviews during the full life cycle of regulated products - from design and product testing, to launch and post-launch monitoring - for the current portfolio of products and pipeline across multiple regulatory jurisdictions including in the Americas, Europe, Middle East, and Asia/Pacific. Requesting, reviewing and interpreting test results, supplier documents and technical reports.Confirming compliance and ensuring products can ship on time to their destined markets.Keeping commercial teams informed of status of compliance assessments to enable timely product launch with appropriate sign-off.Ensuring product teams are aware of new and upcoming regulations relevant for our customers.Regulatory Monitoring and ImplementationMonitoring regulatory and compliance developments and reporting to Compliance managementSupporting/developing global processes that integrate with business processes to ensure company products have access to worldwide markets. Steps include gathering input, authoring/circulating drafts, gaining necessary approvals, developing communications plans, and integrating the guidance into new or existing trainingEstablishing in-country stewardship program supported consistent with Corporate Product Stewardship processes; extensive engagement with Product Engineering, Quality and PurchasingWork can also include support of corporate or multi-business unit Stewardship initiativesTechnical Knowledge
Learning to interpret and apply technical rules and regulatory requirements to our businessDrafting relevant guidance bulletins and documents to communicate codes and regulations as well as their policy, application, and implication to the businessGaining expertise in select areas to support answering routine questions regarding policy and assisting in the assessment and implementation of new activitiesRisk Assessment and ManagementProtecting product liability and regulatory exposure by participating in reviews, investigations, and other compliance monitoring and effectiveness assessmentsSupporting the analysis of enterprise-wide regulatory risk environment by gathering and analyzing data on various compliance mattersRelationship BuildingDeveloping strong working relationships with key stakeholders within the organization including departments within the company and its subsidiaries, and outside the company, including business partners and testing labs to inform on company standards and applicable regulationsWhat You Bring
Needed skills and experience for this role include:
Bachelor's degree in a related fieldFour to six years of experienceLegislative and regulatory compliance experienceAbility to review and interpret regulationsFamiliarity with use of laboratories for testing.
