The Products Returns clerk is responsible to account for all planned return products to ensure inventory accuracy, error accountability, theft detection, cost of damaged goods recovery, customer satisfaction, and issue returns to the customer in a timely manner. All returns and credits to customers will be performed solely by the Products Returns Clerk.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Analyze, research, and approve all proposed returns. If denied, cancel pick-up requests, and communicate to the customer and/or sales.

Issue credits to customers and communicate to customer’s sales representative, customer service, and/or customer relations.

Daily review of the OS&D Log entries, adjust codes/quantities where necessary, and verify entries are complete.

Communicate with multiple departments as needed 

Monitor email requests for returns, replacement, damages, and/or redeliveries. Enter those into the OS&D Log.

Review customer item pick-up requests, the date delivered, the date claim was submitted, and that all parameters meet US Foods return policy.

Release customer pick-ups at the end of each business day.

Invoice customers for items over-ordered or wrong item shipped where applicable.

Monitor daily third-party quality/credit reporting platforms 

Perform other duties as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Ability to read and interpret English documents such as procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English with proper grammar

Intermediate mathematical skills

Ability to research and analyze information to make logical decisions

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel

Ability to troubleshoot inventory discrepancies

A minimum of 3 months previous warehousing experience required; previous comparable warehouse experience preferred

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $19.00 - $25.00. As applicable, this role will also  receive overtime compensation.​​
