As the Product Safety Portfolio Manager for North America, you will spearhead the NA Product Safety Portfolio team, creating a comprehensive overview of all portfolio activities. Your role involves coordinating outcomes across the region and with international partners, while promoting transparency throughout the development pipeline. You'll be instrumental in facilitating prioritization discussions, strategically allocating resources, and optimizing delivery to regional business partners. This position requires a leader who can synthesize complex information, drive collaboration, and align safety initiatives with business objectives.
Duties:
Lead the regional Portfolio team of Project Leads, Portfolio Managers and a Portfolio Analyst across the region.Develop a cross-functional team of Project and Portfolio leads in the region that have a broad understanding of all skillsets within the Product Safety organization that can successfully represent Product Safety across the NA organization. Create effective networks across the Product Safety organization to partner with the Portfolio team on technical issues to resolve risks and issues across projects. Facilitate the transfer of indication-specific knowledge across projects.Build and maintain a strong working relationship with other Portfolio Heads across Product Safety to effectively deliver the science programs across the organization.Facilitate above-region and in-region alignment with Product Safety Portfolio organization.Accountable for ‘rolled-up’ view of existing AIs for PLCM and Registration Review activities within USA and Canada.Responsible for governance decisions and actions taken across the portfolio and project space to prioritize NA Product Safety resources.Ensure alignment across the science delivery teams to deliver studies and outputs to required technical specification and within expected timelines. Build and maintain a strong working relationship with Regulatory while ensuring transparency and alignment on all techno-regulatory issues.Maintain a strong working relationship with CPD Development teams to deliver projects to the regional business.Ensure succession plans and key talent individual development plans are in place for all staff and implement effective recruitment strategies to ensure sustainable development of the platform.Company Description

Qualifications
Graduate degree in a scientific discipline relevant with 10 years of postgraduate relevant experience.Project and/or program management experience in a technical space.Broad knowledge of the techno-regulatory environment including government authorities, key influencers, capable of high-level judgement and influencing.Broad understanding of toxicology, exposure science and risk assessment associated with crop protection products to interact with internal and external stakeholders.Ability to manage highly complex work programs and drive the best outcome by effectively working with diverse regional and global internal stakeholders (Regulatory, CPD, Product Technology & Engineering, Product Marketing, etc.) and external partners (CROs, consultancies, trade associations, scientific institutes, etc.).Proven track record of effective leadership of a large group including team leads and senior technical staff.Proven ability to manage complexity and ambiguity while resolving business-critical issues in a collaborative manner.Skilled in setting compelling strategies and effectively driving / managing change.
