This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI location and offers a hybrid work schedule of three days in office/two days at home. Position requires up to 10% travel. Relocation assistance from within the US is provided!
The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:The Product Sales Manager (PSM) is a key, visible leadership role providing strategic direction and managing daily priorities of the Switchgear Product Line sales team. Reporting to the Product Line Manager, this position focuses on generating profitable growth for the business and manages a diverse functional team including Product Quotation Specialists, Configuration Analysts and Product Support Technicians. The PSM will possess the ability to rapidly develop a solid understanding of the Product Line’s products, markets, sales channels, competitors and business objectives.
In this role you will build success through:
• Commercial Expertise:
o Provide guidance to business leadership, product management, engineering, and operations on market changes, competitive positioning, and customer satisfaction.
o Develop and execute pricing strategies in collaboration with Product Management, considering market conditions, portfolio strategies, and financial objectives.
o Lead the monthly Demand Planning process, providing market intelligence and demand forecast inputs (short & long term) as part of the business sales & production planning process (SIOP).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
o Work closely with the Utility and Commercial & Industrial field sales teams to execute on annual orders plan, delivering winning proposals and managing monthly forecasting activities.
o Partner with cross-functional stakeholders like operations and engineering to achieve business financial objectives (including orders, sales, margin and profit).
o Create and present materials to support sales & customer meetings, trainings, staff meetings, strategic planning, business reviews, annual budget process, and others as required.
• Leadership of People:
o Coach and develop your team in providing quality & timely support to field sales and customers.
o Build team capability, resilience, and satisfaction through cross-training opportunities.
o Oversee goal setting, training, and support for the team to foster skills development and establish strong foundations for career development.
• Digital Mindset:
o Support development and building of digital front-end tools and initiatives: Product Data Hub (PDH), Order Center, Configure Price & Quote (CPQ), Customer Training, and Eaton Web presence working with product manager on product pages and web content.
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of seven (7) years of marketing, sales, or engineering experience (or a combination) in the electrical products industry
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
Preferred qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred
• Two or more years experience managing people is a plus
• Experience with Overhead Reclosers and/or Underground Distribution Switchgear
• Experience with electric Utilities and Commercial & Industrial markets and customers
• Knowledge of electrical distribution equipment, applications and standards
• Experience with a manufacturer, distributor or user of electrical power distribution equipment
