The PSR will be expected to have a complete understanding of the Northern California market, the competitors, customers, and market drivers that make the area unique.
The PSR leads the team, providing concise local market analysis to complement national guidance. Balances and leads panel selling efforts across the entire team. The PSR will provide concise updates to our Northern California Sales team, help develop strategies to help customers resolve their business challenges while providing returns to WY shareholders. This position reports directly to the Area General Manager.
Your main accountabilities include:
Sets inventory and purchasing strategy, sourcing, and buying material for a key Distribution Center product line. Balancing selling opportunity with working capital efficiency expectations (e.g., inventory turns and Return on Inventory targets).Sets pricing and sales strategy for your product(s). Actively managing pricing to ensure market competitiveness, healthy takeaway from inventory, and strong margin capture. Coaching inside and outside teams on short-term dynamics of pricing and availability.Work with peers across the business and National Product Managers to identify new product opportunities, service offerings, and potential vendor partners.Provides local market analysis to complement national guidance.Through consultative sales and superior service, you will prospect, develop, and nurture relationships with key customers - including owners/principals, buyers, and salespeople.Leader amongst their team as an influencer, collaborator, and coach to inside/outside sellers and operations associates in areas of product knowledge, sales strategy, and customer program development.Coordinate in-market vendor support, including co-op budget management/use, marketing efforts, and resolution of product claims.Do you have a passion for sales, mentoring, and business development? Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $74,600 - $109,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Sales Incentive Program (SIP), which offers a quarterly cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay.
