Job Description

As a Product Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and support of our regulatory reporting applications under minimal supervision, working in a distributed cross-functional Agile/Scrum development team.

Key responsibilities:

Design, code, test, and debug software applications according to project requirements and coding standards.

Write and execute unit tests and participate in integration testing to ensure the reliability of software components.

Identify and fix software defects (bugs) and work on maintenance tasks to improve the overall stability of existing applications.

Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, readability, and adherence to best practices.

Collaborate with team members and cross-functional teams to contribute to the software development life cycle.

Implement new features and enhancements based on specifications provided by senior team members or product managers.

Investigate and troubleshoot issues reported by users or identified during testing.

Optimize code for performance and efficiency without sacrificing readability and maintainability.

Analyze and understand project requirements, translating them into technical solutions.

Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and prevent vulnerabilities.

Contribute to estimating development efforts.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Informatics Economics, Applied Informatics or a related field.

2+ years working experience as a Software Engineer with programming languages like VB, C/C++, Java and scripting languages like VB Script.

Experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and PL/SQL knowledge.

Knowledge of XML / XBRL.

Good written and spoken English.

Experience with source control tools (preferably GIT).

Experience with Jira, Team City, Maven and environment configuration will be a plus.

Experience with data analysis, data processing, using AI on data will be a plus.

Responsible, well organized and self-motivated.

Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.

Ability to integrate and work in a multicultural team and in a fast-paced development and delivery organization.

Problem solving skills and the ability to learn quickly.
