Responsibilities

The Product Specialist role at Hamilton is an opportunity to work in an organization that focuses on innovation and develops the best laboratory products in the world. We are seeking a candidate with high-energy, passionate about learning, and a team player. The Product Specialist will be expected to be the subject matter expert on Hamilton Lab Solutions products. The Product Specialist is also a key contributor on product development, customer requirements, day-to-day product support tasks, and product training for the Hamilton sales/service network. 

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Work with the Product Manager to manage the existing portfolio, develop product requirements, assisting Product Manager to develop product strategy, identify new market opportunities, develop and launch new products.Be the point of contact for all product-related questions from internal and external sources.Assisting the Product Management and Engineering teams in product development projects and launches.Conduct sales and service training within the organization and associated channels/partners.Attend internal and external training for product strategy and development.Performing product demonstrations for customers, staff and other stakeholders, when necessaryAssisting with the development and execution of product line business plans.Work with the MarCom group to develop customer-facing product marketing materials.Assist the Product Manager in achieving the revenue growth targets for the product portfolio. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Excellent writing and communication skills with a focus on communicating complex concepts in a clear, concise style.Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with thorough follow-up and organization of all open and pending activities.Excellent time management, and related organizational skills, including a proactive approach, and a suitable ability to anticipate and manage project life cycle events, issues and obstacles.Ability to build partnerships with cross-functional teams. Education/Experience Bachelors degree from an accredited, not-for-profit institution, in a technical or Life Science discipline (Chemistry, Biology, Mechanical Engineering, or similar) required. Experience in sales or customer service preferred. Experience with product management, product development, or the laboratory equipment industry preferred. Strong background in Excel/Powerpoint, ERP system experience preferred.
