This position (PS3) is for Sr. Java Developer who will be responsible for design and development of new modules within the Electronic Death Registry System (EDRS) in addition to maintaining current modules and provide support to program staff.
* Lead EDRS programming team.
* Solid understanding of web best practices and standards.
* Experience with coding with javascript and HTML/CSS.
* Candidate must have experience of end to end from design to implementation.
* Ability to self-manage and keep track of multiple projects.
* Ability to communicate and work effectively with other designers, developers.
* Experience with Java/J2EE.
* Experience in Oracle PL/SQL
Role Description:
* Coordinate design reviews to verify that design meets quality standards and functional/technical requirements.
* Provide accurate estimates for design and programming efforts for system changes and enhancements.
* Coordinate enhancements between business and IT
* Confirm that technical architecture will support all changes required by product enhancements.
* Effectively lead product tests and trials.
* Identify appropriate business examples to illustrate key concepts / features.
* Anticipate, identify, track and resolve issues and risks affecting own work and work of the Application Team.
* Develop contingency plans as necessary.
* Apply specific expertise to ensure that products meet defined customer objectives.
