Are you interested in product support, testing, and content development for our Civil Construction dealers globally?
What You Will Do
As a Product Specialist, you will be responsible for providing Civil Construction product support, system testing, and training to resellers and end customers globally, with a primary focus on the APAC region and North America.
Products or systems you will support include but are not limited to:
Office Software (Worksmanager, Trimble Marine Construction, Trimble Business Center, WorksOS)
Site Positioning Systems (SiteWorks, Total Stations, GNSS receivers, Data collectors.)
On Machine Systems: EarthWorks, GCS900, RoadWorks, GroundWorks.
Travel requirements for this role are expected to be around 25%.
Success in this position will see you providing timely technical support, reducing downtime or underutilisation, and increasing customer satisfaction with our products. Daily this will include:
Deliver fast and efficient solutions to business partners, resellers, regional service centers, end-users, and internal Trimble teams
Provide advanced technical product assistance on problems of diverse scope, where the analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors
Participate in ongoing product development, representing the voice of the customer
Perform system acceptance testing
Develop technical communications in multiple media formats, including digital documents and videos.
What Skills You Should Bring
You’ll need a passion for problem-solving and helping people. Strong collaboration, planning, troubleshooting, and analytical skills are a must, along with an understanding of Japanese culture.
Other skills and attributes you’ll ideally possess are:
Field experience or higher education in a relevant field of study in various disciplines Geomatics, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering (previous roles examples; Survey Engineer, Lead Surveyor, Survey Manager, Data Prep specialist)
Proficient in Japanese (speaking and writing): Skilled in effectively communicating complex ideas in both written and spoken Japanese, including business correspondence, presentations, and translations
Effective decision-making and the ability to work independently
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
Proven ability to achieve results
Physical requirements may include the need to occasionally bend, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull material/objects weighing up to 25kg. with the proper equipment.
About Your Location
Based in our Trimble Perth office in Sterling, WA, in this role you have the option of being fully office based, or work a hybrid pattern (3 days in office, 2 days WFH). If you are Tokyo based, you will work from our office in Tokyo.

About Our Division
Our Civil Construction Field Systems division provides a wide range of hardware and software solutions to the construction industry. We also work closely with the CTCT division (a joint venture between Trimble and Caterpillar), creating world-leading grade control and automation products for customers in the paving, construction, landfill, and mining industries. Our products make operators of heavy equipment more productive, whether they’re working on a landscaping job in someone’s backyard, leveling a section for a house, building a subdivision or highway, or operating an 800-tonne excavator on a mine site.
