Job DescriptionThe ISO Underwriting unit of Verisk Insurance Solutions is hiring a Product Specialist, Commercial Property Underwriting as part of the team developing ISO’s property underwriting products. As a Product Specialist at Verisk, you will be part of our Product Strategy & Innovation team, working closely with product managers, software development, quality assurance, marketing and sales to deploy new innovations within the Commercial Property Underwriting department.
About the Day to Day Responsibilities of the Role:
Support the Commercial Casualty team by assisting in the creation, testing, and tracking of project requirements.Work closely with IT and data science in a software development relationship to ensure clear communication of requirements, goals, and timelines.Consistent communication with the team to ensure a smooth cycle of feedback, development, release, and support.Effectively collaborate with a wide array of colleagues in product, risk engineering, marketing, sales, information technology, and data science to ensure effective delivery of Verisk’s product goals.Participate in the product portion of sales opportunities to ensure effective positioning of the solution’s value proposition and customer comfort with the product capabilities to support the ambitious growth goals of the product line, including performing analysis and presentation of proofs of conceptAnalyze internal and external data with respect to quality and fitness, develop reasoned recommendations from analysis, and present related go/no-go business cases to management.Collaborating with prospective users to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirementsCreating a product road map based on the product visionManaging the product backlog and prioritizing features based on changing requirementsOverseeing all stages of product creation including design and developmentWorking with the product team and end-users to deliver solutions for defects and enhancementsParticipating in Scrum meetings and product sprintsUpdating and maintenance of data dictionaries#LI-SM1
