Ferguson is currently seeking to fill an immediate need for a Commercial Water Heater Product Specialist. As a Product Specialist, you will provide technical product expertise to our outside sales and field partners for water heaters and hydronic heating products. If you have prior experience with water heaters and boilers, outstanding communication skills, and love helping others solve problems, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with an industry-leading organization.

This is a remote role that will support the greater Philadelphia region.  Our ideal candidate must be in EST time zone, preferably within easy commuting distance of locations in Philadelphia, Oaks, PA, Turnersville, NJ, Wilmington, DE, and Allentown, PA.

Responsibilities:

Act as the subject matter authority for commercial water heating products and provide consultative product selection recommendationsCreate and maintain consultative sales relationships with new and existing clients, including providing product suggestions and expertise, conducting client and job-site visits, and collaborating with partners at all levels to promote Ferguson productsDevelop and maintain relationships with outside sales, field technicians, and customers, ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services at all timesProvide technical product knowledge and product training to customers and internal associatesAssist in developing quotes for projects, including updating for product changes and adjusting for pricing-related issuesEstablish and foster strong vendor relationsMonitor job throughout the lifecycle and through completion to ensure that any changes are accounted for and communicatedMaintain customer job quotes, job correspondence, vendor pricing, and the job statusAlign inventory management goals and maintenance of job performance against job expectationsCoordinate product delivery to job-sitesWork with other branch personnel to ensure phenomenal customer service from the order to the delivery and beyondContinually improve product knowledge in order to promote a professional image in the field

Qualifications:

5 + years of construction-related outside sales, inside sales, project management, project coordinator, installation technician, or estimating experienceExperience with commercial water heating and hydronic heating products, strongly preferredPrior use of BidTracer, PlanSwift, or similar estimating software, a plusExperience reading blueprints, specifications, or drawings, preferredStrong proficiency with computer and software programs, including all Microsoft ApplicationsIntermediate Excel skills, such as pivot tables, a plusDemonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with people at multiple levels of the organizationAbility to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to prioritize multiple, urgent requestsProven time management and organizational skillsDetailed and able to maintain a high level of accuracySelf-starter, creative problem solver, and self-sufficientAbility to travel within the outlined territory

Pay Range:

$4,124.70 - $10,436.80

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
