Product Specialist lll, Laboratory Chemicals Division for the Netherlands
What is the roleJoin Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Product Specialist III and be part of our Laboratory Chemicals Division. This role focuses on developing and maintaining customer relationships for our market-leading laboratory reagents and custom/bulk chemicals and blends.
Achieve or exceed sales quota and objectives by developing and implementing an effective territory business planProvide accurate business forecasts for all the products in scopeEstablish outstanding working relationships with local sales teams and lateral functions (e.g., marketing, service, support, customer service). Train, enable, and support sales representatives in promoting our range of products.Partner with distributor sales teams operating in the UK to support the territoryMaintain SalesForce for all visits and opportunities, ensuring it remains a valuable tool for tracking opportunities and forecasting accuratelyDevelop a deep knowledge of the product portfolio and competitive offerings, sharing insights with internal colleaguesCoordinate, evaluate, attend, and support local trade shows and conferences with flexibility to accommodate customer requirementsKeep abreast of current and potential activities that may impact revenues, including funding, market dynamics, and end-user needsMaintain contact with existing customers to promote new products, close deals, and grow sales, while developing new prospectsPlay an active role within your team by sharing leads, developing opportunities, contributing to team spirit, and enhancing business processes with standard methodologies.Attend all required sales meetings and training sessions, and consequently implement new skills gainedWhat we are looking forBackground in Chemistry through a relevant degree or equivalent knowledge and industry/functional experienceMinimum of 1 year (preferably over 3 years) of professional selling experienceExperience in a large matrix organization is highly appreciatedFlexibility and willingness to travel between 50%-70% in the territory to implement dutiesDriven by personal motivation and a desire for successAbility to work independently at a highly technical levelProven problem-solving and interpersonal skillsProficiency in English, both verbal and writtenExcellent clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsPreferred home location in the NetherlandsValid driving licenseAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 120,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
