**Description**
SUMMARY:
To provide 1st, 2nd,3rd line support; track hardware and asset management; configure remote access hardware.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Product specialist to provide both remote and onsite support for our checkpoint automation systems, PC and server hardware. This role will involve maintaining and troubleshooting Windows/Linux and SQL Server environments, configuring and installing APC UPS systems, and ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide remote and onsite support for checkpoint automation systems, ensuring optimal functionality.
• Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of PC and server hardware.
• Maintain and manage Windows/Linux environments, ensuring system integrity, performance, and security.
• Administer and support SQL Server environments, including monitoring, maintenance, and performance optimization.
• Configure and install APC Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) for systems to ensure uptime and prevent disruptions.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide technical guidance and ensure smooth system operations.
• Document all maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions accurately in the company’s tracking systems.
• Assist in the configuration and installation of new hardware and software as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in IT support, particularly with checkpoint automation, PC, and server hardware.
• Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux environments, SQL Server administration, and system maintenance.
• Experience with the configuration, installation, and maintenance of APC UPS systems.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts and IT troubleshooting techniques.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
• Certifications in IT support (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA), SQL Server certifications, etc.) are a plus.
• Experience with other server and hardware management tools.
• Familiarity with virtual environments and cloud technologies is beneficial.
Working Conditions:
• This position requires both remote and onsite work, with flexibility based on the company’s needs. This will include working on and out of hours Rota as deemed necessary
• Some on-call support may be required.
• Ability to work away from home regionaly and work overseas up to 20% of the time
• Ability to lift and transport equipment as necessary

o Valid UK Passport
• Previous experience in all or some of the following areas:
o Automation
o Conveyor systems
o Control systems
o Electrical power systems
Qualifications IT, Electrical & Controls qualifications to be taken into consideration
