Job Description:
The Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance Senior Specialist provides primary support to the CoverFlexx businesses, in the areas of Hazard Communication, Raw Material Data Governance, Customer and Operations Support, and Issues Management in alignment with the Axalta Product Stewardship Management System. The Product Stewardship Senior Specialist is responsible to provide training on Product Stewardship and the tools available to execute, including systems training in TIPs, GRS and IA.
Core responsibilities include:
Serve as a key user of all IT systems used to manage or interface with Product Stewardship across Axalta Work with other members of the PSRC team globally to access and analyze data as required to complete risk and impact assessments based on new information from suppliers or regulatory changes.Communicate with stakeholders when changes in data result in a significant impact on Axalta promptly according to established communication procedures.Maintain organized files of all regulatory documents in the designated file system within PSRC and by local regulatory requirements.Seek to identify opportunities to improve efficiency within the PSRC function, including better use of existing tools and the addition of new tools or programs that will deliver efficiency, improved service, or reduce costs.Serve as a technical resource to other functions, including manufacturing, for issues related to Product Stewardship.Respond to requests for support, including but not limited to import/export issues, tariff codes, substance inventory status, and shipping descriptions. When necessary, consult with other colleagues in PSRC to provide support. Maintain a working knowledge of SAP to aid related to data transfer issues from the PSRC systems including TIPs (Proprietary to Axalta), IA, and LPI to SAP, to respond to material blocks or other prohibitive events in SAP relative to country inventory registrations, substance volume tracking, drug precursors, etc. When necessary, consult with other colleagues in PSRC to provide support.Draft Regulatory Alerts to be distributed to Axalta businesses as applicable.Maintain surveillance of the regulatory landscape for developments affecting the Axalta portfolio for industrial and consumer product segments.Support the Regional Manager with short or long-term projects as required.Qualifications, Minimum
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related science with minimum 2 years of chemistry coursework required.5 years of Product Stewardship and Regulatory Compliance experience in the consumer products space.Demonstrated ability to learn and understand complex regulations pertaining to chemical substances.Experience using problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Proficient in the use of standard Microsoft Office Suite products.Experienced with consumer chemical product regulatory requirements in North America. Must have current valid US passport and ability to travel at least 30% of the time.Our Company:
