Job Description
Oversee the entire lifecycle of semiconductor tools, from design and manufacturing to installation and maintenance, ensuring they meet customer expectations. Address issues and suggest design changes based on client feedback and requirements. Manage shipments, verify specifications, and write reports on the tool’s lifecycle status. Supervise installations and maintenance, acting as the primary point of contact for customers regarding the tool. Provide guidance to engineering teams during the design phase of new products, focusing on key customer requirements, including preventive maintenance tasks, design for service, and manufacturability.
ResponsibilitiesLead the first build and testing of new products in the development lab, working closely with engineering teams to provide real-time feedback and recommend solutions.Ensure designs and installations align with client specifications and expectations.Oversee the shipping and on-site installation of tools at client locations.Stay on-site for 2-6 weeks to ensure the tool operates smoothly and meets performance standards.Troubleshoot issues during the design phase, as well as during the shipping and installation process.Supervise and provide training during the installation and maintenance of semiconductor equipment.Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding tool performance and maintenance.Essential SkillsExperience with semiconductor equipment such as Lithography, CVD, ALD, Epitaxy, Deposition, wet Etch, and dry etch.BS in Engineering (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, chemical).Proven experience in troubleshooting during the design phase, as well as during the shipping and installation process.Ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.Experience working with cross-functional teams to meet client specifications and expectations.Strong report writing skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications5+ years experience working on semiconductor equipment, such as field service engineer, area manager, or product engineer.Technical support and customer support experience.Training and instruction experience in a cleanroom environment.Work Environment
On-site at client locations, primarily in Phoenix, AZ. Casual dress code. Must be comfortable working with diverse groups of people and maintaining a customer-focused and professional attitude. Day-to-day tasks may vary depending on the lifecycle of the tool assigned, including report writing, collaborating with design and install teams, and solving client issues. Travel is typically around 30-40%, with a significant portion being international travel, mostly to Asia (Taiwan).
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $150000.00
Direct Hire with ASM - ASM full health benefits, 10 paid holidays, 2 weeks vacation (negotiable).
Benefits can be negotiated depending on what the candidate is leaving and level of experience
