Introduction
We are seeking a Product Support Specialist to join our Screening Business. You will be responsible for providing advisory services to Metso distribution partners and end users of Metso crushing & screening equipment. In this position, you will report to the Screening Business Area Support.
The location can be flexible within the United States of America. However, it involves up to 50% of travel to customer sites in United States, Canada, and Mexico.

You will join a team of filtration and mineral processing experts focused on delivering high-quality technical support and solutions to clients in the mining and aggregates industry. We are focused on optimizing equipment performance, resolving customer challenges, and promoting innovation.The functionality of this position is keenly focused on safety, customer service and customer satisfaction. This position ensures the highest level of service-related support is available to our internal and external customers. Service support includes, but is not necessarily limited to, field service support activities such as service training, warranty evaluation, technical troubleshooting analysis, parts support, recommending solutions, and start up or commissioning advisory services
What you’ll do:
Provide advisory services and recommendations using product knowledge for commissioning, repairs, assembly, troubleshooting, and installation of equipment manufactured or delivered by SBL. Deliver training to Market Area service personnel on service-related policies and procedures, with emphasis on Commissioning and Warranty Registration (CWR). Accurately identify parts and provide technical support to Metso customer service representatives. Conduct both field and classroom-based training for Market Area personnel on service, maintenance, and commissioning processes. Offer operational and maintenance training for end users, both on-site and in classroom settings. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of organizational staff and management, both internally and externally. Ensure compliance with SBL, distributor, and end-user safety regulations at all times. Complete and submit reports, evaluations, expense forms, action reports, and monthly work logs in accordance with SBL reporting and billing protocols. Prioritize effective service responses to Market Area and end-user needs. Remain available for emergency service requirements by carrying a cell phone during normal working hours. Follow and enforce Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and all site-specific safety guidelines. Regularly engage in field service problem-solving with a diligent, committed approach to resolution. Coordinate service support activities with local Market Area Distributor Managers and Account Managers.
Who you are:
Associate degree in engineering or equivalent experience; Millwright certification is beneficial. Experience in field service technician or mechanical experience, with strong knowledge in crusher or related industrial equipment technical support. Solid understanding of mechanical engineering; electrical engineering knowledge is beneficial. Skilled in troubleshooting technical field-related problems. Notable experience delivering training seminars is a significant asset. Valid driver’s license and passport for domestic and international travel.
