Responsibilities

The Product Support Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day support of Hamilton’s Process Analytics sensor product line, which includes supporting concise and rapid resolution of customer complaints, recommending product improvements, and distributing technical information.

 

Other Responsibilities:

Provide first line technical support for field staff and end users on Process Analytic related technical questions.Support Area Sales Managers with correct specification of custom products and custom cables.Involves travel for trainings and to provide support to Area Sales Managers on technical topics.Provide basic, advanced, and hands-on training for new hires, select customers, and as required during team meetings.Capture customer interactions within Customer Relationship Management and Quality Tracking tools.Interface with Global Tech Support group to provide standardized responses among United States and International sales territories.Identify and track systematic product issues while also determining opportunities for product improvements.Handle returns, root cause investigation, and work with Global Tech Support team on returns / repairs.Identify quality related issues in support of Operations functions for inventory management, logistics, and order processing.Aggregation of technical issue variables and summary communication to field team of findings.

Develop project workflows, investigate and learn novel content, and disseminate results.

Assist in the development of application notes, datasheets, technical notes, and white papers.Self-motivated to identify knowledge gaps within the team and learn essential skills to fill the gaps. Qualifications Knowledge of process sensor measurementsUnderstanding of basic chemistry. Must have good verbal and written communication skills as required to interface with other departments and company personnel in a training function.Self-driven mindset with desire to learn additional skills to broaden impact of support role for Process Analytics group.Ability to periodically travel in support of sales activities for training and lead generation opportunities. Education/Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, biochemistry, or a related science field required.Minimum of one year (2 years preferred) of hands-on experience with industrial automation, instrumentation, or sensors preferred.Experience with pH, Dissolved Oxygen, Conductivity, ORP, or Permittivity preferred.Basic electrical experience preferred.
