Product Validation Manager

As the Product Validation Manager, you will manage the Mechanical/Hydraulic Test lab to enhance the technology and performance of Milacron product lines and their subsystems.

This is an onsite role located in Batavia, Ohio at Milacron's Global Headquarters. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates outside of the Cincinnati metro area.

Essential/Key Functions

Manage the Mechanical/Hydraulic Test lab and perform tests to enhance Milacron product lines and subsystems

Lead US Product Validation team

Utilize strong analytical skills to support NPD and R&D divisions, collaborating with Milacron's Technology groups

Generate comparative data on key hydraulic/mechanical components' performance and drive decision-making in NPD, Sales, and Engineering groups

Implement DFMEA and similar processes in NPD and use Verification and Validation methodologies to address reliability areas

Improve lab effectiveness through Continuous Improvement methodologies and manage the database of conducted tests

Supervise lab technicians, maintain lab equipment, and ensure the lab's functionality and advancement

Report monthly lab performance data and establish test roadmaps and timelines with NPD, Controls & Engineering teams

Collaborate with Sales, Field service & Quality teams to identify opportunities and support application groups for mold trials

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Plastic Engineering plus 7+ years in testing, validation, R&D, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong analytical skills are must for an advance data analysis to drive the business needs on product performance & reliability

Experience of handling the measurements & knowledge on deep analysis of strain, stress, vibration, deflections & other mechanical properties using Data Aquisition systems such as LMS test lab

Able to read, interpret & understand hydraulic schematics, GA drawings, Mechanical & hydraulic drawings

Experience in utilizing DFMEA and similar tools for an impact on successful product launches

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal training in Six Sigma

Reliability Science experience
