Production, Engineer
Production, Engineer City Edmonton State/Province Alberta Overview:

Provides process engineering support to optimize the production units, improving environmental activities, ensuring production quality and supporting plant projects. 

Responsibilities:

Purpose and Summary of position: (5-8 major activities):   

- Identifies improvements to production capacity, quality, process safety, and environmental performance and provides justification for implementation of projects.
- Works with support team and operations to monitor the units, optimize production, and troubleshoot process issues.
- Communicates and documents process engineering activities, including updates to P&IDs, process safety documentation, and equipment files.
- Operations representative in the Management of Change process.
- Provides support for project installations.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

BSc in Chemical or Mechanical EngineeringMust be registered in APEGA.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments.Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the organization.Proven ability to work with other groups, such as Management, Maintenance, and OperationsExcellent problem-solving skills.

 

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

5-9 years of experience in manufacturingKnowledgeable and experienced in work processes, policies, and procedures, PHA, MOC, Root cause analysis (RCA), and EHS processes.Experience with ASPEN HYSYSExperience in statistics, Six Sigma methodology or data analysis to draw conclusions and path forward.
