An HR generalist's job is to **manage all aspects of an employee's life cycle, from hiring to exit, and to act as a liaison between employees and management** . Job Description: + Hiring: Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates + Training: Developing and implementing new hire orientation and employee recognition programs + Compensation and benefits: Administering pay, benefits, and leave + Policies: Developing and initiating HR policies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations + Employee support: Processing employee questions and issues, and monitoring employee morale and company culture + Communication: Creating and distributing internal communications, and maintaining the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart + Performance: Assisting with performance evaluations, and tracking and documenting compliance with training, continuing education, and work assessments + Payroll: Assisting with payroll processing, including updating employee files, tracking vacation/sick pay, and importing expense reimbursements + Networking: Attending industry events, joining online groups, and connecting with other HR Generalists HR generalists should have a strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and be proficient in computer software. They should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
