Job Details

You will be responsible for overseeing the production processes and developing thermal insulated packaging. This role prioritizes production management to ensure efficient, high-quality manufacturing while also supporting the development of innovative packaging solutions for internal and external needs.

This is as of now a temporary position - with a hope to prolong the contract further.

Production / Repair Management:

Oversee and manage production processes to ensure efficient operation and adherence to quality standards.Develop and implement production schedules, processes, and methodologies to meet project timelines and production targets.Monitor and optimize production workflows, identifying and addressing bottlenecks and inefficiencies.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards across production activities.Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure the timely availability of materials.

Packaging Development:

Develop thermal insulated packaging for World Courier's internal operations and ThermoSecure's external clientele.Utilize expertise in thermodynamics to enhance packaging design and functionality.Stay informed about competitors' packaging to leverage market insights, gain a competitive advantage, inspire innovation, understand customer needs, and make strategic business decisions effectively.Provide assistance to internal Operations teams to leverage the understanding of our thermal packing systems. Work closely with the Lab Supervisor to ensure rigorous qualification processes for continuous improvement of packaging systems.Develop and improve the internal procedures and documents templates.Support and partner Quality Assurance department with during activities as Audits, spot quality check and revision of the production procedures.Review and implement corrections and procedures improvements agreed with Quality Assurance Department.

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field with a focus on production management, packaging development, thermodynamics, or a relevant discipline.Proven experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.Experience collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.Strong attention to detail, effective time management and organizational skills.Excellent problem-solving skills and strong mathematical and analytical skills.Continuous learning mindsetFull command of German as well as solid English: written and oral skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

​Desirable Skills

Strong knowledge of thermodynamics principles.Competence in analyzing competitor packaging solutions.Experience with simulation software for packaging design.Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in CAD software.Proficiency in thermal insulated packaging development.Knowledge of quality assurance processes in packaging development.Understanding of laboratory operation, repeatability, uncertainties and metrology.Ability to perform financial planning and budget preparation tasks, as needed.
