Role Objective:

We’re seeking a Production and Logistics Project Manager to join the Production and Logistics Department in Auckland, New Zealand to cover a paternity leave role for 13 months. The Project Manager will work closely with our contract Promoter Representatives to ensure safe delivery of tours across New Zealand.

This role will be based in our Auckland office, reporting to the Head of Production & Logistics NZ and working closely with the extended P&L team based in New Zealand and Australia.

You will excel at understanding the needs of the company, suppliers and venues, and have a proven history of managing concurrent workflows. You are an excellent communicator who can juggle internal and external stakeholder needs with confidence and agility. You are able to manage multiple projects within a fast-paced and challenging environment. You are adaptable, self-motivated, open-minded and have strong relationship skills. Key Responsibilities: 

Assist in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of all production for Live Nation New Zealand shows and those of our associates where requested.

Manage local Promoter Representative contractors on a project by project basis.

Assist in general day to day requests from internal stakeholders on technical production and touring elements.

Review and prepare production budgets and proposed routings as requested and give prompt feedback on these to the relevant stakeholders.

Oversee budgets and spending on Live Nation tours throughout the advance and settlement periods.

Identify production saving opportunities to optimise tour spending.

Maintain key production stakeholder relationships.

Keep current lists of relevant New Zealand suppliers and their equipment lists.

Support Promoter Representatives on technical and logistical advances where required.

Train and maintain knowledge base amongst Promoter Representatives on Live Nation policies and processes to ensure safe delivery of shows.

Coordinate special projects alongside touring, festivals teams and event producers as required.

Work within and champion internal systems and processes.

Coordinate map updates as required.

Coordinate and record post tour debrief.

The inherent requirements of this role require a flexible schedule that includes evening and weekend work from time to time.

Required Skills and Experience:

Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar production role in the music industry, working with production suppliers and venues.

Music industry technical production knowledge.

1st class communicator (both written and verbal).

Enjoys building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Adaptable with a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn.

Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and problem solve.

Ability to work independently as well as strong team player in an ever-changing environment.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong computer skills including Excel & Microsoft Office (Mac based).

Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
