**Job Title: Mechanical Assembler** **Job Description** We are currently seeking Mechanical Assemblers on 2nd shift. You will train on the 1st shift for 2 to 3 weeks. Candidates should be aware that there might be overtime on Fridays. **Responsibilities** + Learn and follow detailed work instructions + Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties outside of assigned priorities + Test parts by connecting them to harness and running programs + Re-assemble units and cases + Load and unload parts in freezer and/or oven + Record data to meet production and quality requirements + Inspect parts for non-compliance throughout the process + Place parts on appropriate carts, bins, and other designated areas + Arrange parts in fixtures and place components as needed + Apply adhesive and sealant + Apply potting using hand tools + Solder parts off and on electronic boards + Scan labels as needed + Participate in various improvement activities **Essential Skills** + Attention to detail + Ability to work with small parts and assembly + Ability to be trained in electronic assembly and soldering + Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers + Ability to work independently and as a team member + Commitment to meeting production demands and quality requirements + Understanding of customer requirements as they relate to job functions + Punctuality with minimal absences **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Basic computer skills including experience with Excel, Word, and data entry **Work Environment** Our work environment is busy and fast-paced, with some areas being dusty and dirty due to the nature of the parts. The electronics department involves more sitting and standing at a station for assembly, disassembly, and testing of re-manufactured car electronics. The noise level is usually moderate. The dress code includes pants or shorts, closed-toe shoes with a foot strap to release static electricity, and a shirt with sleeves. No food is allowed on the floor, only water in a sealed container.
