Production Assembler
**Job Title: Production Worker (Annex)** **Job Description** Candidates will be using hand tools and a tape measure to follow work instructions and assemble various components of flooring and drop ceiling products. All lifting will be done as a team, but candidates should be comfortable lifting up to 30-35 lbs. on their own a handful of times per shift. There is also an opportunity to train on machinery once hired on. Candidates need to have experience with Table Saw for these specific roles, and they will be coded as machine operators. **Responsibilities** + Inspect panels or parts to verify specifications meet Quality standards while maintaining established production standards. + Read and follow established Manufacturing Operating Procedures or Standard Operating Procedures without deviation unless approved. + Complete production reporting and quality paperwork accurately as required. + Efficiently use banding equipment and hand-jacks to ensure proper movement or storage of product or material. + Place materials such as panels or tile in machines or on conveyors in prescribed manner and sequence while maintaining smooth flow of operations. + Perform various trimming, indexing, or cutting procedures as required. + Keep supervisor informed of problems and equipment that is not operating properly. + Follow all policies, procedures, and work instructions including Employee Handbook, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Manufacturing Operating Procedures (MOPs), Job Safety Analysis (JSAs), and Safety Manual. + Maintain awareness of individual contribution to and impact of the quality, safety, environmental, and product compliance policies and activities; report all quality issues, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to the proper personnel. + Learn and have working knowledge of all equipment and machinery within the Ceiling Grid department. + Position parts and monitor operations on equipment while producing product at established production standards. + Use various tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, tape measure, dial indicator, and feeler gauges. + Efficiently load and unload paint system. Stack equipment to include sealing, labeling, and stacking of various panels within established standards. + Maintain good housekeeping and follow established safety procedures. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift a minimum of 15 lbs. and a maximum of 45 lbs. continuous for at least an 8-hour shift. + Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions. + Must be able to work in an area that may contain non-hazardous airborne particles due to the manufacturing process. + Must be able to stand and/or walk, bend, stoop or crouch for at least an 8-hour shift. + Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel machinery, equipment or parts and work near moving mechanical parts. + Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions. + Ability to interface with a diverse workforce. + Experience with hand tools, power tools, and tape measures. + Experience with machine operation is a plus. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.75 - $18.75/hr.
