Production Assistant

DESCRIPTION

The Production Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the inspection and packaging of finished products. This is an entry level position, they will primarily be responsible for assembling boxes or labeling boxes/product.

TYPICAL DAY

•\tInspect finished product to ensure established quality standards are being adhered to. Inform team leader or manager of any non-conformities.

•\tSanitize equipment as necessary.

•\tRelieve other production assistants as needed.

•\tParticipate in and contribute to training programs, as designated by the company, that are periodically required to enhance safety, quality, cost or job performance.

•\tMaintain housekeeping, GMP’s, and safety in the area.

•\tHelp complete pre-flight checklists to ensure readiness for production.

•\tAid in the operation of packaging equipment and take corrective actions as necessary to maintain product flow.

•\tObserve and assess packing materials to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.

•\tAssist in packaging products to meet quantity and quality specifications.

•\tParticipate in the inspection of products before packing, stopping the line if discrepancies are found and notifying the line supervisor.

•\tHelp verify that inventory is boxed correctly for shipping.

•\tAccurately complete and/or sign appropriate paperwork and documentation as required.

•\tDemonstrate an understanding of the company’s safety policies, HACCP plan, GMPs, and SSOPs.

•\tEnsure raw packaging materials are staged, used, and returned following plant quality, safety, and sanitation policies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
