The Production Assistant responsibilities include operating cameras, graphics and audio. This position may prepare you for future opportunities in directing and other aspects of television news operations.

Composes and frames camera shots, applying the technical aspects of light, lenses and camera settings to achieve the effects sought by directorsOperates studio cameras during live broadcastsOperates remote cameras during live broadcastsConfers with directors and other crew members to discuss sequences, desired effects, camera movements and lighting requirementsSets up cameras and related equipmentTests, cleans, maintains and repairs camera equipmentOperate graphics and audio for newscastsPerforms other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.Proficiency with computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines and other office equipment.Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Directing experience preferred, but we will train the right candidate
