Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Assistant to oversee the production of quality automotive products and support the achievement of our operational goals. This role involves fostering a positive work environment, supervising frontline management, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise, engage, and motivate frontline management and team members to adhere to company objectives regarding quality, safety, environment, and information security.Evaluate and monitor operations to meet production and regulatory standards, implementing corrective actions as needed.Lead the manufacturing process of automotive transmissions and other products to meet quality standard goals.Influence team members to adhere to environmental, health, and safety standards, including cleanliness, ergonomics, and equipment maintenance.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment regulations and support kaizen activities for efficient production improvements.Track and manage Manufacturing KPIs such as plant safety, quality, cost, delivery, environment, and team morale, taking corrective actions to achieve targets.Perform daily walks to check production lines and control boards, confirming production issues and ensuring standards are maintained.Motivate staff and maximize their abilities using HR development plans.Essential SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or Operations Management, or 10 years of equivalent manufacturing experience.3 years or more of management or supervisory experience.Leadership experience managing 5 or more direct reports with teams of 30 to 50.Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.Flexibility to respond to changes in company direction.Strong leadership skills with a good understanding of how to lead people.Effective oral and written communication skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a cross-cultural working environment.Experience in automated assembly processes, robotics, or machining processes.Advanced analytical abilities and effective communication skills.Strong relationship-building skills.Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Self-starter mentality with a history of driving change.2 years of proven problem-solving ability using TPS, 5 Why’s, or PDCA.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
This position requires working the 3rd shift from 6:30 PM to 3:15 AM, with occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. The work environment includes adherence to safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring a safe and productive workplace.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $85000.00
