**Job Description Summary** **Job Description** **Minimum Qualifications:** + Education: High school diploma or equivalent. + Must have basic shop math with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate fractions and decimals. + Must have basic computer skills and be able to use computers. + Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively. + Must be able to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and planning. + Must be able to move parts of 50-60 lbs with the use of lift fixtures. **Must be able to work one of the following shifts:** + **2nd shift: 3pm -11:30 pm Monday-Friday** + **3rd shift: 11pm – 7:30 am Monday-Friday** **Job Description:** + Set-up and operate production machinery including, but not limited to: N/C mill/drill machines, pneumatic presses & injectors, hand grinders, NDT inspection, painting equipment, cranes, forklifts, ovens, blasting machines, ply cutters, layup tables, vacuum lines, CMM inspection machines, grinders, and similar machines. + May run multiple machines. + Perform intricate manual operations such as: layup, demold, de flash, kit cutting, and other similar operations. + Develop and improve basic work instructions such as methods sheets, drawings, sketches, etc., using past job knowledge and skills. + Work will involve a variety of metals, composite materials, and parts with close tolerances and fine finishes. + Keep work area and equipment clean. **​** **Desired Qualifications:** + At least 1 year manufacturing **or** accredited Manufacturing Skills course + Associate Degree in Machining Technology, Composites Manufacturing or equivalent. + Prior Aircraft Engines operations experience. + Prior experience with composite hardware layup and machining. + Prior Lean Six Sigma Certification/Experience **​** **Additional Information:** GE Aerospace offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
