The Mapleton Foundry is looking to hire Foundry Specialists! As a Foundry Specialist at Caterpillar Inc., you will perform a variety of manual and/or machine functions related to core making such as dipping, inspecting and assembling cores. You will also operate and/or lock out equipment to clean molding floor and reclaim or dispose of sand in basement levels.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Core box mountingMixing and testing core sandBolt threadingMolding functions such as preparing pouring basinsMold spraying, drying and/or ventingOperating punch-out and related equipmentFinishing functions such as riser breakingHand chipping and finningOperating shakeouts, stand and portable grindersAbility to operate powered industrial vehicles

 Minimum Qualifications:

One-year prior manufacturing work experienceAbility to frequently lift and carry boxes weighing up to 35 poundsAbility to stand throughout an 8 to 12-hour shiftAbility to operate heavy machinery and manufacturing equipment

Top candidates will also have:

Previous machine shop or foundry experienceComputer knowledgeVerbal and written communication skillsProblem solving and decision-makingMath skills

Salary Pay Range - $22.25-$24.35, plus $0.75 night-shift premium ($1.00 starting 3/10/25)
