Production Associate

Statement:

Responsible for producing quality product per production schedule with working knowledge of production equipment and operating safely within established guidelines in a team environment. 

 

Main Accountabilities:

Able to operate in a team environment with Safety and Quality in mind. Actively participate in the site Safety program – Near Miss reporting, PPE. Capable of learning to operate a filling machine, capping machine, quality systems, labelers, code daters, check weighers, and support equipment. Accurately perform and complete package quality checks routinely. Able to stand for long periods of time. Interpret tank levels and valve and pump settings to ensure the correct product is being filled via a computerized operating system. Capable working in a shift environment, able to work overtime, and some weekends. Capable of troubleshooting equipment. Operate a forklift for warehouse, loading, and receiving. Capable of lifting 50 lbs. as needed. Perform all assignments safely, satisfactorily, and maintain good attendance. Actively participate in the company’s food safety and quality programs. Commitment to supply safe food, maintain a food safety culture within the site, continually improve the site's food safety management system; and comply with customer and regulatory requirements. Additional duties as requested or assigned.

                                                                                                                                                                                      

Education/Experience:

Two to three years of experience in a production facility preferred. Basic math skills required. Able to read and understand English language with good verbal communication. Forklift experience is preferred. Candidate must be team player, collaborative, results oriented with good problem-solving skills.

 

Language Requirements, if any: 

Ability to read and write in English is required for the purposes of record keeping and training.  Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
