Position:       Production Associate

Location:      Chillicothe, MO

Wage:          $18.67 per hour

Shift:            Night Shift 7:00 pm-7:00 am / $2.00 Night Shift Premium

While reporting to the Shift Supervisor, as an inspector packer you will be responsible for packing thermoformed trays in a quick and safe manner.  Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment.  You must have the ability to work with various teams and have a good eye to spot defects in the packing line.  You will take pride in your personal hands-on and analytical abilities, organizational skills and attention to detail.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Retrieve parts from trim pressPlace parts in specified relationship to each otherInspect stacks of parts for defectsPlace parts in bag, seal bag and place in corrugated boxesTend machines, such as trim press and pack station parts handling equipmentCut and stack sheet when neededGrind sheet and trays as neededBuild and/or stage all packaging material per Product SpecificationFill out label and flow bills correctlyUse pallet jacks to place skids of product in warehouseAssist Operator when starting lineHelp train new employees when necessaryFollow all safety policies and proceduresMust be able to correctly follow housekeeping policyComply with all company policies and proceduresOther duties as requested by Supervisor

This position is in our Plastics plant in beautiful Chillicothe, Missouri where we are producing plastic thermoformed trays.

Previous experience in packing/warehousing is extremely helpfulTo succeed in this role you will need excellent written and verbal communication skillsWorking independently and managing multiple tasks simultaneously is needed.Being reliable, having good initiative, being committed, and being quality focused is a must.You will need to be able to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.Having the ability to effectively work with a team in a fast-paced environment is crucial to success.You will need to have the ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.You will need to able to perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time.You will need to have the ability to work quickly while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail.No prior manufacturing experience required.
