Our client, a wholesale in Newark, CA is seeking a Production Associate to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling of baked goods, ensuring the quality and packaging of products like muffins, scones, cakes, breads, and cookies. You will work in a fast-paced environment, operating a high-speed production line while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely and efficiently handle baked products and package them in the appropriate materials.Operate and monitor a high-speed continuous production line, including placing dough in pans and loading onto conveyors.Visually inspect products for quality issues or deviations from standards.Work efficiently under pressure, maintaining a sense of urgency while meeting quality requirements.Ensure the work environment remains clean, safe, and compliant with safety procedures and regulations.Handle product-related tasks, including counting, packing, sealing, labeling, and palletizing.Ensure no supplies or materials are left on equipment at any time, following proper handling procedures.Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines and hygiene standards.Perform general housekeeping and maintenance duties to keep the workstation clean and organized.Communicate effectively with leads, coworkers, and staff across departments.Flexibility to work overtime or weekends based on production demands.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience in a production or packing environment is also acceptable.Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions in English.Basic math skills for counting, packaging, and labeling products.Ability to distinguish and identify different products by reading labels.Reliable, punctual, and willing to work flexible hours as needed.Prior experience in an automated or semi-automated packing environment is a plus.
