MAIN PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

This position is accountable for operating equipment that mixes/grinds liquids and other materials used to manufacture paint and coatings. The Manufacturing Technician directly impacts the quality and quantity of product produced.

CORE ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Feed raw materials into production machinery.Operate production machineryAssemble goods on production lines.Monitor the production process.Fill and seal PaintsCarry out basic quality and testing checks.Remove, pack and sort materialsClean the area and remove production waste in accordance with disposal and recycling policiesUse lifting equipment and forklift trucks to fulfill orders – for employees with forklift license

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

A Matric qualification or 2 years’ experience in a paint production environment.

COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

Good tinting and colour matching skills.Excellent colour vision to enable best tinting and colour matching.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

Sound numerical skills.Self-motivated.Team player.Time Management.Proactive.Take initiative.Ability to prioritise work and go the extra mile when required
