**Job Title: Production Associate**
**Job Description**
As a Food Production Associate/Operator, you'll play an important role in ensuring our production processing lines and machinery run smoothly. This includes unloading/loading materials, following recipes, weighing/measuring raw ingredients, operating equipment, packaging the final product, and performing various quality checks to meet company and customer requirements. Food Production Workers are expected to assist in various areas of the production process as needed.
**Responsibilities**
+ Help unload incoming shipments to supply production operation. Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs., unloading, and stacking.
+ Follow production specifications as the product moves through the process to ensure the quality of the end product.
+ Assist in various areas of production and operate various food production machinery.
+ Handle, weigh, measure, and store raw materials/dry ingredients.
+ Perform operator adjustments, observe settings, and adjust controls as needed to maintain prescribed operating conditions for specific products.
+ Follow all SOPs according to company specifications to ensure quality standards are being met.
+ Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices and all other company regulations and safety practices.
+ Maintain production records, including production data such as weight and amount of product processed, down time, type of product, and time of processing.
+ Complete additional tasks as required or assigned. Must be flexible and willing to help out in various areas of the production process as needed.
**Essential Skills**
+ 3+ Years of Manufacturing/Production Experience
+ 6+ Months of Food Manufacturing Experience (Knowledge of Food Handling/GMPs)
+ 2+ Years of Machine Operating Experience
+ Experience with Forklifts
+ Packaging
+ Food Manufacturing
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Basic use of computers, tablets, scanners, etc. to record and track production data
+ Ability to read and write English to review and prepare shipment paperwork/documents
+ Ability to drive sit-down forklifts to move products

**Work Environment**
Food Manufacturing Environment. The facility has hot (105°) and cold (68°) environments. One side of the facility is for manufacturing operations which is hot, and the other side is for chocolate cooling/packaging which is cold. Safety, quality, and hygiene requirements include ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order, complying with all legislated and relevant laws and regulations for safety and quality, wearing uniforms, steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hair nets, beard nets, and safety gear specific to work activity when on the plant floor. Physical requirements include standing, walking for prolonged periods, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, reaching to view product flow and adjust equipment, lifting in excess of 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis, and working in a manufacturing production environment exposed to noise and temperature variations. Pacemakers are not permitted around magnets.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Union City, California.
