JOB OVERVIEW:
The Production Associate performs general and specific duties related to their assigned work area in the canning plant. Workers may be assigned to one or more areas throughout the plant and work with other production associates, machine operators, and support teams to ensure RTD (Ready-to-Drink) finished goods are safely and efficiently produced in accordance with quality specifications.
Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:00am-3:30pm + OT as needed
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
Visually inspect cans, bottles, boxes, cartons, and other materials for printing defects, quality defects, food safety defects, etc.
Work at varying stations on automated production lines to ultimately move finished goods from the production line to finished good skids, including stacking finished good cases on skids.
Communicate any changes immediately in product flow, equipment malfunctions, shortages, or deviations from quality or food-safety specifications to operators, Team Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance as necessary.
Ensure that the packaging rate guidelines are followed to meet productivity/metrics.
Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain a clean and safe work area.
Responsible for food safety pre-requisite training programs related to designated area(s).
Complete other tasks as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED preferred; or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
Work in a wet environment with some exposure to cleaning chemicals and allergens.
Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background checks).

Occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
