Job Title: Production Associate
Location: On-Site - 5901 River Road Jefferson LA 70123
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $22/hour
The role involves working with fully assembled marine/boat engines, adding custom parts as required. Candidates must possess mechanical aptitude, preferably with experience in boat engines, car engines, or similar mechanical systems. This is not an assembly line position.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Stop work immediately to report any major injury hazards. Report any work-related injury, illness, incident, or hazard. Comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Actively promote safety by looking out for colleagues and correcting hazards within your control. Minimize environmental impact through responsible work practices. Participate in HSE training as required. Quality Follow all standard work processes, documentation, policies, and procedures. Raise quality concerns to minimize costs and risks. Perform quality inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards. Delivery Execute role responsibilities as defined, maintaining high competency in core work skills. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and process efficiency. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, performing housekeeping tasks regularly. Apply Cummins Operating System (COS) practices and Operations Excellence (OE) methodology. Remain flexible and perform other duties as needed to meet production goals. Teamwork Communicate effectively with team members and support staff. Complete required training and personal development programs. Actively participate in improving quality, safety, material flow, and processes. Requirements Mechanical Aptitude: Experience with boat engines, car engines, or similar mechanical systems. Power Industrial Device Operation: Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment. Team Collaboration: Ability to take direction from Senior Technicians and work effectively within a team.
