**Job Title: Production Associate** **Job Description** Valley Milk Products produces butter products. We are looking for a dedicated Production Associate to operate churns to the required specifications and according to Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.s). The role involves completing required documentation, cleaning equipment, and ensuring a sanitary work environment. **Responsibilities** + Operate churns according to S.O.P.s + Complete required information on charts, checklists, run logs, cleaning documents, and any forms associated with cleaning or operation + Clean the evaporator, separator, tanks, lines, homogenizer, and manually clean as required to produce a sanitary product + Disassemble and assemble separators, presses, pumps, valves, and any associated equipment for inspection and cleaning + Take sanitary samples as required in a timely manner + Maintain a clean work area at all times, ensuring floors, buckets, and brushes are stored properly + Follow GMPs as required by FDA, USDA, State, and company policy to maintain a clean and sanitary environment + Follow all safety rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment + Perform other duties as assigned by management **Essential Skills** + Experience in manufacturing, general production, GMP, food, and warehouse settings + Sanitation knowledge + Food industry experience + Ability to lift 55 pounds repetitively for an entire shift + Ability to stand on concrete for 8+ hours + Mechanically inclined + Experience in equipment operation **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Food manufacturing experience is a plus, even from a restaurant or fast food setting + Sit-down forklift experience is a high plus **Why Work Here?** We offer excellent benefits and competitive pay for the area. Contractors cannot wear loose clothing, hoodies, buttons on shirts, fake nails, makeup, fake eyelashes, or jewelry. Hair and beard nets are required, and a uniform will be provided. Shirts and jeans must have no holes, and sneakers or boots are acceptable. The shift is from 6am to 2pm or 4pm depending on production needs. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of STRASBURG, Virginia. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.80/hr.
