Job Title: Production Associate

Job Description

The Production Associate is an entry-level position for individuals eager to start a career in production and manufacturing. As a Production Associate, you will support first-floor production by obtaining basic training and experience with various products and production processes while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the day-to-day production/palletization of various fertilizer formulations in accordance with company standards and guidelines.Prepare finished products for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and palletizing as required.Operate basic production equipment, such as conveyor belts, tape machines, heat sealers, and pallet jacks.Safely handle raw materials, tools, and finished goods within the production area.Inspect materials and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards; report any concerns to Crew Chiefs/Lead.Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.Maintain a clean and organized workstation and production area.Participate in on-the-job training and development to enhance skills and improve job performance.Essential SkillsHigh school diploma or equivalent.No previous experience required – on-the-job training will be provided.Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.Understanding of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to safety protocols.Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment as well as independently when required.Good communication skills and a positive attitude.Physical stamina to stand, bend, kneel, and lift materials and finished products for extended periods of time.Willingness to work flexible hours or shifts as needed.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with pallet jacks, machine operation, and hand tools is a plus.Forklift certification is an advantage but not required.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The manufacturing environment includes a small warehouse for distribution. Candidates can expect the environment to be a little dirty and dusty due to the manufacturing of blue-dyed fertilizer. You will be exposed to loud equipment and dusty working conditions. The position requires the ability to stand for extended periods and consistently lift up to 50 lbs. All Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements must be followed.

1st shift (6am to 2:30pm) with overtime three days a week until 4:30pm and some overtime on Saturdays for 4-5 hours when needed to break down and clean machines.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Allentown, Pennsylvania.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
