Production Associate
Job Summary Expedites operations that delay schedules and/or alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. Resolves issues related to production, machinery, processing, and/or packaging operations. Ensures quality control standards are maintained. In addition to performing assembly line functions, also calibrates equipment and maintains tools. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Determines schedules, distributes work, routes trucks, and communicates procedures. Interprets machine logs, collects data, sets up new machines for test, trouble shoots machine failures, and interprets error codes. Informs supervisor of staff, safety, defective product or mechanical issues. Ensures all safety standards are met by work group. Environmental Job Requirements Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, which may cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which may be heavy (50+ pounds) or awkward. Minimum Qualifications Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable Preferred Qualifications Extensive knowledge of all types of machinery. Two year technical degree in the area of electronics or electrical design. Technical certification or associate degree may be required in some areas. Candidate will primarily be engaged in the production of various erosion control products that we supply to the industry. Processes include standing for long periods of time and lifting materials in excess of 100 lbs. Attention to detail and desire to make the best quality product in our industry is a must. Ability to operate a forklift proficiently and willingness to perform housekeeping duties is a requirement.
