Job Title: Production Associate
Job Description

This entry-level position within the manufacturing area is primarily responsible for performing extruder responsibilities, which include running the line, set up and changeovers. You will also be involved in weigh-up or packaging duties within the production department, ensuring the highest quality product at the lowest possible cost. You will meet customer specifications and delivery requirements in accordance with company policies and procedures.

ResponsibilitiesComplete the correct documentation for the batch.Ensure the correct ingredients are delivered to the work area.Obtain and weigh out the correct ingredients for mixing to meet recipe specifications.Set up and start any weigh-up or packaging machinery, checking all controls for adherence to operating and safety procedures.Safely and neatly process, batch off, screen, cut up, package, and/or skid material to correct size/container according to customer specifications.Perform all required machine cleaning.Complete and maintain required paperwork and/or documents.Essential SkillsMachine operation experience (extrusion machine, injection molding machine, or other machine operation experience)Mechanical aptitudeAbility to lift 55 lbs. and occasionally handle up to 250 lbs.Ability to be on feet all day, kneel, and crouchAdditional Skills & Qualifications6+ months to 1 year of machine operating experienceForklift experience is a plusAny mixing experience is a plusWhy Work Here?

Our work environment is clean and organized. While it can be loud with machines running, it is not so loud that you cannot hear the person next to you. The environment has a plastic smell. We offer different shifts: 1st Shift (Monday-Thursday 6am-4:30pm), 2nd Shift (Monday-Friday 3pm-11:30pm), and 3rd Shift (Sunday-Friday 11pm-7:30am).

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
